Why Donald Trump and Mark Cuban Are Sparring on Twitter
By:
After Hillary Clinton's team put Mark Cuban in the front row at the first presidential debate, Donald Trump went to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction with the choice.
Let's review what's going on in this tweet.
Gennifer Flowers is a women who Bill Clinton claimed he had an affair with, so the real estate mogul is making a jab at Clinton. Donald Trump said on Monday that he didn't intend on mentioning Hillary Clinton's marriage during the upcoming debate, but his latest comments put that into question.
"The Benefactor" was a reality TV show that started in 2004 and lasted for one season. Contestants tried to win money from Mark Cuban, who is now the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres, and Magnolia Pictures. He is also featured on the ABC show "Shark Tank." Trump might be a little salty with Cuban since he had originally supported him but has since become a noted critic.
Cuban responded by asking Trump if he remembered comparing them to the Bobbsey Twins, upper class children from a popular book series. It's a term used to refer to two people who have similar actions or appearance, according to Merriam Webster.
It's not the first time Cuban has gone after Trump.
In an interview with CNN Money, he used some strong words against the presidential candidate.
He challenged Trump to stand up against his own policies and was prepared to pay big bucks for it.
Cuban also wasn't shy about turning his back on Trump and supporting Clinton in the upcoming debate.
Given that the two billionaires don't seem to hold back, it's likely they'll have more virtual confrontations in the future.
