The Climate Reality Project Has a Message for World Leaders
By:
This winter, France is hosting the United Nations Paris Climate Change Conference. It takes place from November 30 to December 11 in Paris, drawing scientists and civil activists, to celebrities and major political players from around the globe there to discuss a variety of topics, including sustainable energy and clean water.
In the days ahead of the convention, the Climate Reality Project released an open letter to world leaders demanding that they make lasting changes during their talks in Paris.

“We all know that the climate crisis is here. We can see it all around us. We are all affected by it. And if it were up to us, we would do something about it. In fact, some of us already are,” said the men, women and children from around the globe in the video.
“Now it’s your turn. As our leaders, as the ones bestowed with power… please listen. Listen to the land. Listen to the ocean.”
Actor Edward Norton also makes an appearance. “Listen to the science,” Norton said. “Make commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
The climate change agreement will be drafted this winter, with details finalized in the coming years so it can be enacted in 2020.
