With the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states, couples both young and old finally won the right to marry.
YouTuber Garzilly’s dad and his partner, Ricky, waited more than 25 years to tie the knot, which they finally did in October.

Garzilly made a tribute video honoring the happiness that his dad and Ricky experienced in their life together.

Garzilly narrated:
“Dad and Ricky have been together for 26 years, and Ricky has been a part of our lives for as long as I can remember. … Throughout it all, it’s safe to say that not everyone has agreed with their lifestyle, or even acknowledged their relationship.”

Referencing the Supreme Court decision, he added:
“But on June 26, 2015, the world became a better place. And there was nothing else that could stand in their way.”
Dressed in matching blue shirts and striped ties, the two men had a quiet backyard wedding in New England on October 24.

The six-minute tribute video shows family moments, high-fives, and dancing children. The message is a positive reminder that, as long as love is present, everything will be OK.
