The 2016 presidential election has apparently influenced the next generation of names, according to a new report from BabyCenter, a website dedicated to providing pregnancy and parenting information.

Looking at 115,000 names registered on the site in 2016, BabyCenter found an increase in the names Hillary and Donald. The name Hillary has jumped nearly 145 percent, and the names of her family members are also on the rise: Bill, Chelsea, and Charlotte went up in name rankings.

The name Donald saw a nearly 10 percent hike, and the names Ivanka and Melania grew in popularity as well. However, "it’s the Clinton family who has so far enjoyed the bigger surge in popularity," BabyCenter writer Carolyn Robertson wrote in a release.

“A presidential election is a big deal, and new parents who choose names like Hillary and Donald are placing a bet that their new baby will share the name of the next American president,” Linda Murray, BabyCenter's global editor in chief, said in a release. “In a sense, they’re already voting for their favorite candidate. Time will tell whether they picked a winner or the next John Kerry or Mitt Romney.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), however, does not appear to have any baby name love. Bernard fell 50 percent this year in name ranking.
